Through practical exercises, demonstrations, and hands-on experiences, students will develop the skills needed to create visually striking photographs with proper composition, optimal exposure settings, and a clear understanding of the unique capabilities of both mobile devices and digital cameras. By exploring portraits, product photography, and moving subject photography, students will be equipped to approach a diverse range of subjects with confidence and clarity.

NOTE: In order to get the most out of this class, we recommend that students bring a smartphone or other photography device (iPhone, Android, digital camera, etc.) to use for assignments in class. The class can be attended without a device, but your assignments will largely end up being research-based instead.
