In this 3-week graphic design class, students will gain a foundational understanding of color theory, file types, layers in design files, typography, and visual hierarchy in graphic design. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the skills needed to create visually compelling designs with a strong focus on conveying branding messages clearly and aesthetically. If you’re a small business owner or just want some extra help with visual communication and manufacturing digital/print marketing materials, this class is for you!

NOTE: In order to get the most out of this class, we recommend that students bring a device of their own (laptop, tablet, smartphone) with pre-installed design software (Microsoft Publisher, Canva, Adobe Express, etc.) to use for assignments in class. The class can be attended without a device, but your assignments will largely end up being hand-drawn or research-based instead.
